Amazon launches pre-owned designer brand site including Gucci, Chanel and Valentino – CPP-LUXURY

Amazon has announced it has partnered with Hardly Ever Worn It (HEWI) to bring a curated assortment of pre-owned luxury styles to Amazon Fashion Europe for the first time. HEWI has launched a storefront page on Luxury Stores at Amazon Europe, including in the UK.

This is the first of its kind for the global online retailer, expanding into the pre-loved fashion arena. Designers and labels already on the site include Chanel, Hermes, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Loro Piana, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino and Gucci.

Luxury Stores is accessible to Amazon customers in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. Everything sold on the website is screened by Hardly Ever Worn It for authenticity, so you’ll know you’re getting the real deal.

Customers will be able to access the latest collections and exclusive items from luxury labels, accompanied by fast and free delivery. The collections on the site are sold directly by brands and designers, allowing them independent control over inventory, selection and pricing, according to Amazon.

So if you’re looking to spruce up your spring wardrobe with some cut price designer garb, Amazon has you covered. Items include Dior Pre-Loved Limited Edition Floral Embroidered Lady D-Joy Micro Bag (£3,105), Chanel Pre-Loved No5 Black & White Sleeveless Top (£1,100.75), and Hermès Pre-Loved White Leather Claire Sandals (£575).

Ruth Diaz, Amazon Fashion Europe vice-president, said in a statement: “We’re thrilled to expand our luxury offering with Hardly Ever Worn It this year, to include more of our customers’ favourite brands and styles.

“We’re always looking to innovate and engage with our diverse customers, and launching pre-owned goods allows us to do just that, whilst also creating an opportunity for us to offer our customers accessible luxury”.

Tatiana Wolter Ferguson, HEWI chief executive, added: “Hardly Ever Worn It launching on Luxury Stores at Amazon, marks a new level of visibility for luxury resale. Our collaboration with Amazon is a testament to our commitment to making high-end circular fashion accessible to a diverse and wide-reaching audience.

“By joining one of the world’s most trusted market places, we are able to bring this to fruition, enabling more people to experience the joy of resale.”
