Louis Vuitton launches new Tambour Street Diver watch with chronograph function – CPP-LUXURY

Louis Vuitton’s watchmaking journey started in 2002 with the launch of the Tambour watch. For 20 years now, this odyssey at the heart of time has allowed a now iconic model to explore all paths of creativity. Thus, in 2021, the Tambour returned to a territory already explored in Louis Vuitton’s historical collections by appearing as a casually elegant diver’s watch named Tambour Street Diver. This timepiece was awarded the Diver’s Watch Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève.

Today, the Tambour Street Diver — waterproof to 100 metres and bearing the Louis Vuitton signature is enriched with additional features as a new chronograph function. Not only does the chronograph allow you to measure short-time during a competition or while practising a leisure activity, it also has the visually striking design it has been known for since its creation.

The Tambour Street Diver Chronograph forges a powerful link between the sculptural shape of the Tambour case, the bold colours, and the performances of a top-level sports watch. The addition of the chronograph function ensured by a hand-wound, self-winding mechanism, led Louis Vuitton to adopt a new architecture while keeping the original sleek design and its perfect legibility.

The chronograph’s two push buttons are on either side of the crown on the right of the case; the crown of the unidirectional rotating flange showing diving times is between 10 and 11am on the left side.
