The wait for Euro 2024 has been worth it so far, with plenty of dramatic finishes.
Still on the hunt for their first European Trophy, England have dropped to third on the Euro 2024 odds board after tying Denmark, while France remains the favorite after drawing to nil with the Netherlands on Friday.
The hosts, Germany, secured their spot in the knockout round Wednesday and are now tied with France as the favorite, while Spain is slotted into the Top 4 after their win over Italy.

Euro 2024 betting favorites
France (+400)
It should come as a surprise to nobody to see France listed as one of the betting favorites for Euro 2024. They are, after all, the World Cup runner-ups, losing a thrilling and heart-breaking Finals to a Lionel Messi-led Argentina.
In the lead-up to Euro 2024, Les Bleus made quick work of a very straightforward qualifying group by collecting 22 out of a possible 24 points and scoring 29 goals in eight games while conceding only three. They did the double over the group’s biggest challenge, the Netherlands, winning the home and away by a 6-1 margin.
With Kylian Mbappe getting better by the day and a host of new blood being infused into this French lineup, this is one team no team will want to face before the Euro Finals on July 14. Just check out their 2024 Euro roster:
🚨🇫🇷 France full squad for Euro 2024.
🧤 Aréola, Maignan, Samba.
🛡️ Koundé, Clauss, Pavard, Konaté, Saliba, Upamecano, Hernandez, Mendy.
🧠 Camavinga, Fofana, Rabiot, Zaire-Emery, Tchouaméni, Griezmann, Kanté.

However, despite finishing with an xG of 2.09, France collected three points via an Austrian own goal, and at times looked a bit out of sorts going forward.
Their 0-0 draw with Netherlands on Friday didn’t instill a ton of confidence, failing to convert on 15 shots while holding possession for two-thirds of the game.
Germany (+400)
Once a powerhouse of International football, Germany has been mired in a slump that’s not seen them win a major international tournament since the 2014 World Cup.
While that may not seem like a long time, going through three different managers and producing terrible results will have the nation hitting the panic button at the first signs of trouble.
Julian Nagelsmann will be the one to lead the hosts into Euro 2024 (and beyond), and without having to qualify for the tournament, the Germans are a dark horse.

The Germans followed up a thrashing of Scotland with a convincing 2-0 win vs. Hungary which sealed passage through to the knockout round.
England (+500)
Speaking of major tournament runner-ups, England were precisely that in Euro 2020 as they fell to Italy in penalty kicks.
With England, every tournament is trophy or bust, and 2024 is no different. They have arguably one of the best in-form strikers in the world leading the line in Harry Kane, and one of the best young midfielders in the game in Jude Bellingham.
Take a look at the 26 players England has sent to Germany:

England got through qualifying with one or two minor hiccups, finishing with 20 of a possible 24 points while conceding just four goals in eight games.
England started off the tournament with a 1-0 victory over Serbia on Sunday, but saw their odds fall after tying with Denmark (+5,400). Is football really coming home?

It should come as no surprise to see Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane situated as the top two betting choices in this market. These are two world-class talents that can score goals on any day and are often time match winners for both club and country.
The general rule of thumb when betting on a market like this is to take players on teams you believe will go far in the tournament, thus adding games and opportunities to add to the goal tally.
With France and England the co-favorites, Mbappe or Kane wouldn’t be bad choices, but I believe there is plenty of value down the board with their teammates Antoine Griezmann and Bukayo Saka — two guys who will be in the starting XI and with goal-scoring pedigree.

If waiting a month to cash a ticket is not your cup of tea, you can bet on every 2024 Euro group winner, which will be graded 10 days after the tournament starts.
While World Cups tend to get more betting attention, European Cups are more competitive considering how the groups are formed.
As such, you will see the tournament favorites as the odds on betting choices to top their group, with Group B — the group of death — opening with the smallest group winner odds. These numbers shift as play goes on, with France now owning tighter group odds despite being the overall tournament favorite.

How to bet Euro 2024 outright odds
Betting on the outright winner of Euro 2024 is an extremely popular futures betting option, and odds usually come out soon after the previous Euro winner is crowned. These odds will adjust based on how countries and players perform leading up to the tournament. Sportsbooks will also adjust the soccer odds based on handle and liability with certain nations.
Futures odds are displayed in list form, showing each option and its odds – most often ranked from best chances to win to worst. You will usually see a plus (+) sign in front of a team’s futures odds, like this:
This means that on a $100 bet, you would stand to win $500 if England won Euro 2024. As we get closer to the Euro final or if one team has been extremely dominant, you might see a country with a minus sign (-) ahead of its odds.
This would mean that you have to bet $110 to win $100 on a Belgium Euro 2024 outright victory.
